Still going strong 26 years on!
The entire team at 1770 LARC! Tours have remained onboard, and each and every one of them is so delighted to be providing eco certified day tours to domestic travelers once again.
Having been in operation since May 1994, owner Neil Mergard cannot recall a time when the 7 day tour business had this kind of break. "We have genuinely been operating for 26 years with very few down times. So when we closed in late March as a result of restrictions, the team set about work on some larger jobs.
"For example, we installed polycarbonate side splash guards, reconfigured seats for guest and crew comfort, and completed some internal painting. This is in addition to the requirements within our COVID safe plan like hand sanitiser at the top of the boarding stairs and sneeze guards behind the skipper's cabin and within the retail office.
Overall, 1770 LARC! Tours can say we are a business still going strong, and we certainly have a solid team who delight in providing a high standard of guest experience every day. Plus, our greatest asset is the environment we live and work in, which has remained pristine throughout 2020, just as this short video created earlier this year demonstrates."
