Gold Coast Bulletin’s Women of the Year Awards brought to you by Harvey Norman, was held at the Star Casino on Saturday evening 16th September 2023 celebrated the influential women of the Gold Coast including the Environmental Warriors category winner Amy Gash, Custodian of Lady Elliot Island.
The Environmental Warriors Award recognises women who have demonstrated exceptional leadership and innovation in the field of environmental conservation, as well as those who have worked tirelessly to raise awareness about critical environmental issues and inspire others to take action.
Amy Gash was honoured with the award for outstanding contribution to the Environment and Sustainability. This is a fantastic achievement and showcases the dedication and commitment shown by Amy and Lady Elliot Island Eco Resort to sustainable tourism in the region. Congratulations to both Sarah Eccelston from Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary and Claire Dryden of Sown Love Flower Farm who were finalists in the same category.

Amy has previously been honoured with winning the Young Achiever Award for her outstanding contribution to tourism at the 2022 Queensland Tourism Awards.
