Winners of the 2020 World Rum Awards were announced on 12th April, with Rockhampton’s Saleyards Distillery taking the win for their popular Capricorn Spiced Rum.
Following two rounds of tastings, the local dark and hearty spirit was recognised as the best amongst judges of the global awards that annually showcase the very best in all internationally recognised styles of rum.
Head distiller, Warren Brewer was extremely excited to hear news of the internationally recognised award.
The Bundaberg Rum distillery took our Silver in the same category.
Kalki Moon Distilling & Brewing won gold at the Australian Distilled Spirits Awards for its Navy Strength Gin. Founded by former Bundaberg Rum master distiller Rick Prosser, Kalki Moon is family owned and operated.
Rick said he was proud to win the prestigious award.
