With conscious tourism increasing rapidly and visitors more than ever considering how their holiday impacts the environment and local communities, Castle Rock Farm in Byfield has launched a new style of accommodation to complement their existing offerings.
Wrapping up a true-blue Aussie experience in an easy, fun-filled, rustic adventure, guests can now sleep in a swag on the new undercover and elevated eco-deck overlooking the Farm and across Byfield National Park.
The four double swags and two single swags come fully equipped with all linen, doonas, towels, and pillows, so perfect for guests wanting to take the fuss out of camping.
Castle Rock Farm is a tranquil haven, set on 45 hectares of private rainforest, and offering the ultimate seclusion and an ideal spot to relax, reflect and reconnect.
Adding to existing accommodation options including a hand-crafted timber chalet and rustic studio, Castle Rock owner, John Auriac is proud of the new addition to the Farm, knowing that the swags will appeal to a variety of visitors from far and wide, looking for a quintessential, hassle-free holiday.
“The swags are perfect for families who want to try camping for the first time, without having to purchase all the gear and setting it up,” John said.
“While we already have our popular studio accommodation which sleeps eight all in one room, the swags will be a great option for small groups who want to share the experience, but still have individual privacy and bedding.”
The affectionately known ‘Canvas Castles’ are fully screened with comfortable mattresses, and there is a selection of informal seating and table and chairs for dining.
“The deck is totally off-grid with all lighting and power supply generated by solar and 12v, with composting facilities,” said John.
“Our guests have full access to the communal kitchen, dining area and firepit, and will have access to the entire farm including all walks, access to seasonal fruit and opportunities to watch the sunset from Castle Rock.”
Capricorn Enterprise CEO, Mary Carroll congratulates John and Helen for further expanding their offering, knowing that this low expense, high quality experience will not only entice the budget and eco-conscious traveller from within Australia, but also appeal to our international guests.
“We know that visitors to our country want to experience the simple, laid-back way of living as an Aussie, and this new experience at Castle Rock allows them to camp in the rainforest, while still enjoying some creature comforts like a comfortable night’s sleep,” Mary said.
“Castle Rock Farm has always been a place where new and old friends come together, and we look forward to working alongside John and Helen as they continue to expand and bring more visitors to the Capricorn Coast destination.”
